Our History
50 years of hotel experience
Eco Hotel Mariscal is a family business that started in the 1950s as a guesthouse in San Salvador, called Casa York. It emerged in response to the need for international quality accommodation in the capital city. The guesthouse was characterised by its comfort and excellent service, taking the client as its main focus, who was made to live the experience of feeling at home.

Many changes have been made to keep us at the forefront, striving for continuous improvement, always with the aim of pleasing the customer, even the most demanding. 

Today the company has become Eco Hotel Mariscal, a small charming hotel offering standard rooms, suites with dining room & kitchenette and beautiful corners to make our guests feel at home.

We are proud of being Salvadoran, of our hard-working and creative people, which is why the rooms have been dressed with fabrics dyed with an ancestral technique made by craftswomen from the northern part of El Salvador.

We are proud of being Salvadoran, of our hard-working and creative people, which is why the rooms have been dressed with fabrics dyed with an ancestral technique made by craftswomen from the northern part of El Salvador.
 
The yellow and shades of orange have been achieved with almond, beetroot and carrot leaves. The fabric has been nourished with milk and the colours fixed with ash.
